“It’s not just about the knowledge, it’s about the know-how”
1300-hour program – 7 modules
For: Software developer, systems administrator, database manager
The objective of this one-year program is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and project-based training required to operate at a professional level in programming, networking, operating systems and systems administration.
The program is assignment-driven so that students who complete it successfully will have the skills required to work as a developer and system administrator in a wide range of economic sectors. They will master the fundamentals of object-oriented programming and analysis and be proficient in a number of programming languages, such as C, C++, C#, Java and Python. They’ll also have a professional command of Microsoft’s .Net framework.
Project-based lab works are an important part of the program as first-hand experience is essential to attain a professional level in programming.
A school day starts with a one-hour session during which the teacher explains the basics of a given subject, provides guidance regarding the skills needed for the next assignment. The teacher can also highlight the main problems encountered with the previous assignment and answer students’ questions. Lab work consists of two hours followed by a break and another three-hour session.
The final project that students will have to develop over two weeks is an assignment similar to the one they would receive in a professional environment.
The one-year course covers 7 modules:
- Introduction to programming in C and algorithms
- Systems administration and networks, introduction to Linux and a virtual machine
